Owner and founder of the Cato Poll Herefords herd, Jonathan Moorhouse, has been elected President of the Hereford Cattle Society for 2018.
The role, which is a huge privilege for Jonathan, will require great commitment during 2018 judging at shows, visiting herds and providing support for owners and handlers of Hereford Cattle across the UK. He is an active member and past chairman of the South Western Hereford Association and has represented the region on the Council for six years.
“I am excited to be at the forefront of the Hereford Cattle Society in the President’s role this year,” said Jonathan Moorhouse. “Whilst it will require a lot of travelling and input from me during the year and take me away from my own herd, I look forward to sharing my advice and expertise with those who will carry on the important job of developing and breeding Hereford cattle in years to come.”
Jonathan’s previous experience includes judging at many significant cattle shows including the Hereford Cattle Society’s Autumn Show & Sale, The Hereford Market, The Great Yorkshire Show and The National Poll Show.
