There was success for Cato Poll Herefords at the 2016 North Somerset Show on May 2 as its Hereford cattle swept the board with three first prizes!
The 158th show, held at Wraxall in North Somerset, saw Cato 1 Princess Gem 512 win 1st Prize for best 2 year old; Cato 1 Miller win 1st prize for Junior Bull and Cato 1 Maisie 536 win 1st Prize for best junior heifer (all pictured).
In the 1st pairs Cato 1 Princess Gem won Breed Champion and Cato 1 Miller won Reserve Breed Champion.
“It was a thoroughly successful day for our cattle at the North Somerset Show,” said Jonathan Moorhouse, proprietor of the Cato Poll Herefords herd. “Through careful breeding over the past three decades we are producing some excellent cattle and it is great to be showcasing them at an agricultural event in their own county!”
